s.v.i.d. Lucid

Lucid is the study association of Industrial Design at the Technical University Eindhoven. Diversity, creativity, equality, unity, innovation, professionality and involvement are qualities that we aspire to carry out with every step we take as an association. Lucid stands on four pillars; education, career, leisure and facilitation. Everything we do for our members should cover at least one of these important pillars.

Geschiedenis

It all started in 2002, when the study association was established. Ever since the amount of Industrial Design students grew and so did the amount of active Lucid members. More and more committees started, organising study trips and workshops, facilitating the Lucid.Bar and combining text, media and graphics to create UNiD magazine.

Activiteiten

Lucid.Bar, where the members come to relax and have a drink every Thursday afternoon.

ID Connect – A networking event where companies and other interesting designers are invited to discuss design and career. The perfect opportunity for students and companies to interact.

Conduct Festival – Every year, we organize an electronic music festival called Conduct. During the event, the visitors can join interesting workshops, enjoy live artists and dance their heart out with the DJ’s.

Study trips to for example Japan, Portugal, Italy and the USA.

Missie & Visie

Study association Lucid acts as a stable platform which provides an easily accessible community for all ID students within a continuously changing ID landscape. We support the members in education, career and leisure related to ID and student life.

Overige Informatie

We also publish our own magazine, called UNiD. UNiD magazine is a design magazine brought to you three times a year with article topics ranging from extensive interviews with designers to opinionated or research pieces
