E.S.B.V. Tantalus in Eindhoven

We are the Eindhoven Student Basketball Association, in short ESBV Tantalus. We take part in the Dutch basketball competition with teams in most regional and some national levels. In addition to playing in the competition, we have practice twice a week. Besides playing basketball, we also like to get together for drinks. In addition we organise numerous activities for our members throughout the year as well as a big tournament in May for basketball players all over the world.

Geschiedenis van de vereniging

We were established in 1961 and now have multiple teams at a lot of different levels in the dutch competition. Both mens 1 and ladies 1 are working hard on the national level in first division and second division respectively. Off the field we have plenty of players enjoying the third half as much as their game. For the last 37 years we have organized the International Basketball Tournament which has grown and expanded and invites players from all over the world to Eindhoven for basketball as well as getting a taste of Stratumseind.

Doel van de vereniging

Our goal is to have a place for all students in Eindhoven to play basketball at their own level. Although this is not always possible, our mens teams spread out across different levels in the competition and we have two ladies teams to make sure there is place for anyone.
